Chicago, IL is one of the greatest cities in the United States, of course! It is the third largest city (by population) in the United States behind New York and Los Angeles. Chicago was incorporated in 1837 and grew rapidly. The architecture of Chicago is both diverse and eclectic. Due to the Great Chicago Fire, a building boom was the impetus for some great modern high-rise buildings for which the city is known and that create the beautiful Chicago Skyline that we know and love.
